In this article I am going to give you an overview of how you can get off sugary foods and make better food choices. But first why would you want to cut down on sugar? Is not sugar good for you? I mean why else would the food industry add sugar to just about every processed food they offer for sale?
So let’s say that you heard an expert say that sugar is bad for you – would you be convinced or would you still have some doubts? For example, the food experts have created a food pyramid but as you may have observed if you eat according to the food pyramid you will probably end up looking like a pyramid.
What I would suggest is that it is the level of conviction which determines whether you continue to consume sugary foods and beverages. If you thought of sugar as arsenic – as a real toxic poison – then would you consume it? Probably not.
Now you might have heard someone tell you that you need to listen to your body. Just listen to your body they say. But how the heck do you do that? What are you listening for? Good question – I have never been able to work that one out but what I can show you is how to set up a communication system with your unconscious mind. Once you have a communication system with your unconscious mind – which we call an ideomotor signal – a scientific verifiable fact – then you have a clear channel of communication.
Then you are able to ask the unconscious mind if a food or a beverage is good for you or not. You can also ask if it is bad for you. You can ask to what degree a food is good or bad for you. This then allows you to make better food choices.
To simplify this I have created a number of online courses. In the Ideomotor Signalling course you can learn how to create an ideomotor signal with your unconscious mind for a ‘yes’ and for a ‘no’. Then you learn how use a hypnosis pendulum – which in the early stages makes it much faster. However as you gain experience you won’t need to use the hypnosis pendulum – you can just rely upon the ideomotor signals – which is what they mean by learning how to listen to your body.
So once you have a ‘yes’ and a ‘no’ signal then you need to calibrate your responses to what degree out of ten. So you start by running through the list of foods and beverages that you eat and drink – and you ask, is this food/beverage beneficial for me? You make a note of that and then you ask, is this food/beverage a problem for me? You make a note of that. What is interesting is that sometimes a food item may be good and bad for you but to varying degrees.
So then you run through the list of foods/beverages once again asking to what degree is this item beneficial for me – and to what degree is this item a problem for me? Then you can ask your unconscious mind if the food/beverage items are associated with a health problem.
If you have difficulty in quitting your problem foods then in the Banish Food Cravings course you can learn how to talk to your unconscious mind – using questions, statements and commands – such that you can instruct your unconscious mind that you no longer want to eat the sugary foods and that your unconscious mind should turn down the thoughts and put the behaviour back in the past – and that you should tap into your internal resources, for example, the source of authentic confidence, love and happiness – and have these resources be available for you when you need it most.
